Zee Nxumalo dazzles Mzansi with new viral Amapiano hit single, “Maphupho”

While “Maphupho” has only been out for two weeks now, it’s already gone viral and garnered over two million plays on social media site TikTok. 

Zee Nxumalo, the 19-year-old vocalist featured on the single by the platinum-selling DJ Zandimaz, has been on the fringes of superstardom for a while now, and it looks like she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves with all the buzz surrounding the new single. 

Earlier this year, Zee signed with local entertainment agency Punchline Media and released her debut single titled “Siyajola”, which has steadily garnered over 50K streams across digital platforms to date. 

Zee recently released a brilliant cover for Tpzee & Q-Mark’s hit single “Paris” and a lovely acoustic cover for her debut single, “Siyajola”. Both are doing impressive numbers on her growing YouTube channel. 

The past three weeks have seen Zee pictured on social media alongside Mlindo The Vocalist (one of her idols) and Nandi Madida, sparking rumours about whether either or both will be featured on her upcoming EP. 

With the attention around her growing week by week, we may well be witnessing the arrival of the country’s next biggest female artist.
