We recently took a look at some Zambians songs that made our 2021 a very memorable year, it was such a good year musically that we had to put up a part 2 of the article. We continue to celebrate the songs that made 2021 a great year and here are the rest of the songs.
BOBBY EAST FT KANTU-TOXIC
Bobby east released a song similar to his previous hit song Psycho bae and this time around he brought on Kantu to do the chorus and the song was beautifully done. The video was well executed and even though Kantu was heavily pregnant at the time it was difficult for people to see because it was well covered.
MACKY 2- ALABALNSA
The kopala swag originator came on with this soft melody that was very motivational and encouraging to listeners. Most could relate to the lyrical content in the song and it ended up doing very well on most charts. It is great to see Macky 2 still topping the charts after years of being in the music industry.
NEZ LONG FT YO MAPS PALANGESHETI
This is such a fun song by Nez Long and Yo maps, it is definitely something that is guaranteed to get the party started, we got to see a different side of Yo maps which was a more aggressive side as compared to his usual love songs but that is probably as a result of hanging out with Nez Long.
YO MAPS- BLESSINGS FOLLOW ME
Everywhere you went in Zambia this song would play, it is a very encouraging song that had people heavily relating to it, he later released a music video that was pretty average but the beauty is in the song. This is one of those songs that will stay playing for a really long time. Yo maps had a tremendous year musically and officially launched his first album.
ABEL CHUNGU-EXTRA TIME
The song was technically released in 2020 but really gained momentum in 2021, it is an amazing love song which was well executed by the gospel singer Abel Chungu. His lyrical abilities on the song are amazing and its one song we will be listening to years to come.
