Yanga releases new single Mantshingilane

Johannesburg, Wednesday, 24 June 2015 – Yanga releases his much anticipated second solo single, Mantshingilane, which had its debut on YFM last week Friday.

The smash hit enjoyed high rotation throughout the weekend leading to an impressive entry on the YFM Urban Top 40 Chart where it debuted at #23.

The single has already been picked up by stations such as Gagasi FM, North West University and Bush Radio just to name a few and it is expected to reach immense rotation on radio stations across the country.

Mantshingilane is a fun and playful club song dedicated to difficult security guards and bouncers, encouraging them to be a bit more receptive to individuals. The catchy hit single is inspired by party goers never ending experiences with security guards and bouncers who deny them access at complexes, clubs and VIP sections across the country.

“Mantshingilane is my best work yet, it showcases my style of Hip Hop and it represents the experiences of the youth. It gives all of us a voice” remarks Yanga.

Mantshingilane follows Yanga’s debut hit single, Awuth’Yam, which he released in October 2014 and due to its popularity, a remix version featuring AKA and Kid X was created. The remix enjoyed high rotation on over 50 radio stations and made the SA Local Music Top 40 rams chart. Awuth’Yam Remix also charted on Gagasi FM at the #1 spot as well as on YFM at the #21 spot.

Yanga got his musical break in 2014 after writing and featuring on AKA’s Run Jozi track. He also made an impressive feature on DJ Vigilante’s (Cashtime Life) Sorry Makhe track where he provided another hook and featured alongside Hip Hop staples Kid X, Maggz & L-Tido. Yanga closed off 2014 by releasing the “2015Freestyle” which caused a stir as he was hailed on Twitter by local rap stars and media personalities as being a “refreshing voice” in the Hip Hop industry. He also toured the country with both AKA and the Cashtime Life family last summer.

Yanga signed to the well respected Artists and Talent Management and Marketing agency Vth Season Audio earlier this year, which is home to the likes of multiple award winning Hip Hop artist, AKA, and multi-platinum songwriter and singer, TRESOR.
