XAVEN RELEASES NEW SONG FT YO MAPS

Nexus music signed artist Xaven has teamed up with Kalandanya music artist Yo Maps to release a song titled ‘Nalema’, the song dropped today, according to the announcement made on the Nexus official Facebook page with the caption: “She is back with more fire Xaven-kopala-Queen ‘Nalema’ featuring Yo Maps. Song produced by Mr Stash“

A summer jam that is easy to dance to, with Yo Maps contribution to the chorus coming in as always without disappointment; bringing in a unique feel to the rapper’s style. It is no surprise that he was the pick for this chorus, as he has been crowned the new king of hooks by fans, taking over from PJay (RIP) who previously held this position before his untimely death. The two artists blended in so well on the song and it is safe to say this song stands a great chance at topping the Zambian Music Charts.

The song is talking about someone who is in a relationship and is always being accused of cheating by their partner and at the same time is tired of being controlled.

Fans of the artist who feel they can relate to the message in the song have already taken a liking to it with a video shared by both Nexus music and Xaven showing a fan made video as the fan sung along to the song. The Kopala Queen has encouraged fans to keep sending in video’s of them singing along to the song.

A music video to accompany the song is yet to be released; and we look forward to seeing how Nexus will visually translate the message of the song. Nexus Music have proven to be very creative with their artist’s music videos, and the one for ‘Nalema’ is certain to join the ranks amongst their many great videos.

Xaven’s Kopala style of rap is unique and makes her stand out. There has been quite a number of rappers hailing from Kopala (copperbelt) such as Chef 187 and Macky 2 but this is the first time the city has produced a female rapper. She has not collaborated with any female rappers yet but that is something that we look forward to.

Xaven recently released her debut single undisputed, which was well received by her fans and this saw the artist gain a new pool of fans. She is a promising with in the Zambian music industry despite being new on the scene. She stands a great chance of doing extremely well in the industry. We wish her all the best in her music career.
