TikTok Announces Plans On Opening A Restaurant Chain

The video sharing social media platform, TikTok, has announced its plans on opening a number of restaurant chains across the United States under the name of TikTok Kitchens; the plan is to open the restaurants in the next coming months and serve TikTok’s greatest food hits. There are been many viral food videos on TikTok, some you may have even tried yourself due to the trend, and now, the business is bringing that to life by having professional cooks make it for you; however, is there really a need for this?

There was a Baked Feta Pasta food video that went viral and caused a cheese shortage in Finland, which will be appearing on the TikTok Kitchens’ menu; the company has said that the menu will be seasonal and will change depending on what is currently trending. However, the platform has said that the sales profits will go towards supporting the creators of their food video contents; this is not completely clear as of yet.

This will be a delivery only restaurant with multiple chains – locations have yet to be announced – though we know that TikTok kitchens is planning on opening around 300 restaurants by March, trying to reach as many as 1,000 locations by the end of 2022.
TikTok has partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts on this venture, who specialise in virtual restaurant development; it seems that GrubHub will be the main delivery partner for this future upcoming restaurant.
This is something very new and many people have been reacting, saying there is no need for something like and that it is weird.
Super interesting move by Tiktok to launch delivery only restaurants called "TikTok Kitchen" which will make and deliver the recipes that go viral on TikTok.
