The Billboard Music Awards 2022 Winners

Taking place on Sunday night the 15^th of May 2022 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the Billboard Music Awards is a perfect “bow” on the awards season this year. Hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs, he and Robert Deaton executive produced the show that aired live on NBC and is available for streaming on Peacock. The nominations had been announced online through Twitter on the 8^th of April with 62 categories for music releases during the period dated 10^th April 2021 to 26^th March 2022. From last night’s show, we have found that The Weeknd received the most nominations of any artist, being 17. On the other hand, Doja Cat was the most nominated female act with 14 nominations. BTS were found to be both the most nominated and the most awarded group at the awards ceremony, winning three of their seven nominations. Olivia Rodrigo managed to land herself with seven awards, including the Top New Artist award, making her the most awarded artist at the show.
