SQUID GAME CONFIRMED FOR SEASON 2

Squid game is officially coming back for season 2, the creator Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed the news in an interview, he said that the massive fan fare left him “no choice” and that lead character Gi-hun will do something for the world. “Hwang noted in that interview, there been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love for a second season, so I almost feel like you leave us no choice It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently.”

“I don’t have well developed plans for ‘Squid Game 2.’ It is quite tiring just thinking about it. But if I were to do it, I would certainly not do it alone. I’d consider using a writers’ room and would want multiple experienced directors,” he said.

Squid Game follows Seong Gi-Hun, played by Lee Jung-Jae, as he and hundreds of other desperate and deeply indebted contestants compete in a violent and often grotesque competition for about $38 million. Only one person can win the prize, and those who lose the series of children’s games pay with their lives.

However Netflix has not yet made an official statement but by the looks of things it is not possible to not have a season 2 as fans have been looking forward to season 2. Most of them already have theories of how it will pan out. The series is Networks number one show at the moment.

It would take a while for the show to actually air even with the most realistic timeline, it would probably hit screens in 2023 unless otherwise.

The end scene in the movie has fans hoping that the main characters story continues in season 2, they believe he will team up with others in order to shut the whole gruesome operation down, either way fans are excited to see which direction the writer will take.
