Zambian Singer and rapper Sampa The great has featured on a documentary called ‘The ones who keep walking’ about young people who were born boundary pushers and have been taking bold steps and refusing to stand still and shaping Africa on new terms.
This is a short film by Amarachi Nwosu which features young talents from across Africa such as Sampa The great, Ckay, Jefferson Ossei, Stephen Tayo, Kamo Mphela, Nana Danso, Loza,Urban Pitchaz, Yeni Kuti, James Barnor, Rakeb Sile, Mesai Haileleul, Bose Ogulu.
The young talents talk about the struggles of trying to make it in Africa in a tough environment such as Africa and being different and bold but not letting any of the limitations faced stop them. The young talents are aiming high and not letting anything stop them.
Sampa has been based in Australia for most of her career where she has attained a great deal of success but recently came back to Zambia but was afraid they would not be able to get her back in her home country as her style is very unique. Fortunately for her her home country received her well and have been supporting her ever since, Zambia being able t appreciate her style of music as very important to Sampa.

We have seen her try to engage more with local Zambian artists lately and many of her fans are excited to be able to witness what she would do with some of Zambia’s most celebrated artists, her style that is so unique blending with a typical Zambian artist would be something a lot of people would pay to see.
