Ruff Kid has finally released his highly anticipated international collaboration tagged “Banja (Family)“. The renowned Zambian rapper shares the record on which he teams up with South African artist Emtee. The project has reportedly been in the pipeline for quite sometime now and it has finally seen the light of day.

‘Banja’ is a trap like song about chasing dreams, bringing family and loved ones closer while always keeping enemies at bay.

Ruff Kid posted the news on social media and asked his fans to spread the word for him. The Kalandanya Music Promotions  signed rapper will become the first Zambian rapper to secure a feature with Emtee.

Many have congratulated the Zambian Rapper on this amazing achievement, among these was Bobby east who took to his face book and posted: “I am so happy for Kaida, he is unapologetically himself at all times. They don’t make them like you anymore King”

This is a big move for the rapper as this will expose him to a larger pool of fans and might eventually get some international recognition. He has not released music for quite some time now and his fans were beginning to wonder if he was still actively pursuing music, so this feature definitely came as a pleasant surprise.

The music video for the song ‘Banja’ has already made its way to Trace Africa and fans have expressed their excitement, most of them feel that the artist has been putting in the work over the years and it is about time he got international recognition.

Ruff Kid has been in the Zambian music industry for a really long time and is still going strong. One of the greatest qualities the artist possess is his ability to perform, he has so much energy and strong stage presence. His controversial approach to music and the entertainment industry has kept him relevant over the years.

It is amazing to see the artist strive and put his country on the map, the future definitely looks bright for Ruff Kid and we look forward to see him collaborate with more international artists as the year progresses.

Not many Zambian musicians are breaking barriers internationally however efforts are being made and hopefully we will be seeing a lot more artist make international collaborations this year.
