R&B STAR EMANI DIES AT THE AGE OF 22

By  |

R&B singer Emani Johnson dies at the tender age of 22, she was involved in a tragic car accident on Monday that unfortunately claimed the singers life. She was best known for songs like ‘feelings’ and ‘inside’ which she featured Tripple Red.

Emani’s father Darryll Johnson took to twitter to pay tribute to his daughter, he wrote; “Thank you my baby for your light. You are forever in our hearts. Daddy loves you so much, rest In Power my girl-baby. Love you forever.”

The singers producer J Maine reflected on her life, “Emani was one of a kind. I enjoyed working with her on the music we created together during ‘The Color Red’ and she will truly be missed, the way we worked together was effortless, we just understood each other. It hurts so bad to know that the last time I saw her was the last time I’d ever see her again.”

Close friend and rapper Bhad Bhabie posted a photo with her and Emani and captioned it; “I don’t even know what to say, this doesn’t even feel real. I used to spend almost every day with you,” Bhabie wrote.

“You taught me so many things. You are my inspiration for many things (hair, nails, style) my big sister I’m gonna miss you so much.”

This is indeed a tragic loss for the music industry as Emani was a rising star and many are gutted at her death as she seemed very promising in her music career, “Feelings,” was the singers most streamed song and she collaborated with Tripple Redd on two songs, for “Emani’s Interlude” as well as “Fire Starter.” In 2020, she released her “The colour red” EP.
