Post-Apocalyptic Game ‘The Cub’ Announcement And Trailer

By  |

Described as “The Jungle Book meets the Armageddon”, ‘The Cub’ is a newly announced post-apocalyptic game inspired by Sega Classics; developed by Demagog Studio and soon to be published by Untold Tales, this game takes place within a 2D platform and in the same world as the game ‘Golf Club: Wasteland’.  The debut trailer has just been released, and although there is no set release date just yet, here is all the information we have on ‘The Cub’ so far!

The announcement trailer was released on the 25th of March for the PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Check the video out below:

The graphics sure look enchanting, which is focused on more due to the 2D platform nature, and though it looks aesthetic and fascinating to look at, the story itself is a tough challenge overall for future players. There are a lot of environmental puzzles, which reminds a lot of people of games like ‘Limbo’ and ‘Inside’.

The story line focuses on a mutant child left stranded on a decaying Earth as the rich escaped to Mars. The character we will play as has “developed an immunity to the planet’s chemical waste, so upon the elite’s return to Earth, they clock” the character as someone to be hunted.

The description of the game is as follows:

“The Jungle Book meets the Armageddon. A story-rich, old-school tough platformer inspired by SEGA classics but built for today. Platform parkour through the remains of humanity as smooth apocalypse-wave tunes and stories reveal more.”

‘The Cub’ is expected to launch on the following gaming platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game is available to add onto the wish list on Steam right now, so go ahead if this is something that you are looking forward to playing!
