Olivier Awards 2022 Winners

By  |

The 2022 Laurence Olivier Awards took place on the 10th of April at the Royal Albert Hall in London; it is an event that celebrates the very best of British theatre, awarding musicals, plays, operas and more! After a virtual ceremony in 2020 due to Covid-19, there was no ceremony held at all in 2021, therefore this year marks the great return of the Olivier Awards, having been held in-person as well.

The award ceremony was hosted by comedian, actor, and presenter Jason Manford and was broadcasted live on ITV from 10:15pm on Sunday evening, yesterday the 10th of April. The event was also broadcasted live from the venue at Royal Albert Hall on Magic Radio hosted by Ruthie Henshall and Alice Arnold from 5:30pm, as they are the Official Radio Partner with London Theatre.

The following performed during the Olivier Awards ceremony:

“In what is thought to be a world first, celebrity guests will be walking a ‘Green Carpet’ made from real, reusable grass – supplied by WowGrass, an eco-friendly company which uses solar energy and ethical farming methods, growing the grass on biodegradable felt made from recycled British textiles. This is all part of our effort to make these Olivier Awards the most sustainable yet, and we’re also teaming up with fashion rental platform HURR to encourage sustainable Green Carpet fashion choices.”
