New Game ‘Haunted Chocolatier’ by ConcernedApe

The developer of the successful indie game ‘Stardew Valley’, Eric Barone otherwise known as ConcernedApe, announced his next project called ‘Haunted Chocolatier’, which will mimic the gameplay and art style of ‘Stardew Valley’; instead of leaving the city to become a farmer, like in ‘Stardew Valley’, players will become the new local chocolatier in the chocolate factory located inside a haunted castle where ghosts live.

Many have been hoping for a sequel to ‘Stardew Valley’, particular due to its branded title as the cosiest game, so ConcernedApe took the game formula from ‘Stardew Valley’ and gave it a haunted ghosts twist to create ‘Haunted Chocolatier’. Within the game, it has been revealed that these ghosts appear to be friendly and willing to work shifts inside the chocolate factory, so the haunted part of the game may not be so bad!

Unfortunately, Eric Barone has said that the game is in early development and he will not be setting a release date, or even an estimated release window, just yet; according to the Frequently Asked Questions page on the official ‘Haunted Chocolatier’ website, the developer said that he wants to be able to work on the game without the pressure of the release date getting closer and closer. Moreover, he said that the only platform he is completely sure that ‘Haunted Chocolatier’ will launch on is Microsoft Windows, but he is also working on bringing the game to other major platforms if possible. Since ‘Haunted Chocolatier’ will be another solo-developed and self-published game, it may be a few years before we get our hands on the actual game.

The early gameplay was released recently, you check out the video below and look through the official website HERE for further updates. You can also follow ConcernedApe on Twitter for any other future announcements!
