Monthly Birchbox Review

The Birchbox beauty subscription box sends five products tailored for each person’s needs with a list of beauty tips and tricks to follow. All products sent are from well-known beauty companies, cult products, and up and coming brands or products in order to help each person find the products that suit them the best. I decided to try this out myself and share my thoughts on subscribing to Birchbox for three months to see whether it was worth it or not, if you have been thinking about making your own subscription to Birchbox, perhaps my review will help you make your mind up.
Since everyone has different skin, hair, and beauty routines, Birchbox has made a convenient way to tailor products suitable for you, which is through making a beauty profile online after the first checkout for your subscription and filling out your needs and wants with the multiple-choice questions. Although this is useful, there are disadvantages because it is not as broad as some may need it to be to get the best products that you can actually use, as I ended up with a few products over the course of the past three months that I did not need at all, so I gifted it away instead.
A good-to-know point about these beauty boxes is that the website states, “we’ll never send you the same product twice,” which assures me of not wasting my money on something that may continue sending me the same things each month; instead, they choose different themes every month and focus on particular products from different companies to make sure you are not getting hair products every month, or mascaras for three months in a row. For example, Birchbox has teamed up with Look Good Feel Better this year, which is a charity dedicated to boosting the physical and emotional wellbeing of those undergoing treatment of cancer; therefore, Birchbox works to send products based around this theme all year, while focusing on something new each month.

Thanks to Birchbox, I discovered a lot of new brands that I did not know about, as well as uncovering products that I did not know were available. It is important to note that each product in the beauty box comes as a sample size, except for the occasional surprise full sized product.
Birchbox was created by Hayley Barna and Katia Beauchamp, who met at Harvard Business School, and were passionate about creating a service that would enable consumers to bypass the inconvenience of retail shopping; they came up with the idea of an online subscription service to help those consumers find the beauty products that work for them without putting too much work into finding new products out of all the millions of other products out there.
I thoroughly enjoyed my three-month subscription, and although I will not continue it, I am likely to encourage others to give it a go, so if you are interested, then click the link down below to take yourself to the official Birchbox website!
