Line-up For ‘When We Were Young’ Festival In October Has Been Announced

Described as “an epic line-up of emo and rock bands from the past two decades”, the ‘When We Were Young’ festival is set to take place on the 22^nd of October 2022 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada. Major artists like My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne and Paramore will be headlining the event; what is most exciting is that this is the first Paramore show announced since the group went on hiatus in 2018!

Paramore have released five studio albums to date since ‘All We Know Is Falling’ in 2005, with the last one being ‘After Laughter’ in 2017. Earlier in the month, the frontwoman of the band Hayley Williams revealed that Paramore were back in the studio and working hard on a new album. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the band said that they completed their earliest songwriting sessions in Nashville and have since relocated to a studio in California. 

Hayley Williams said, “The music we were first excited by wasn’t exactly the kind of music we went on to make. Our output has always been all over the place and with this project, it’s not that different. We’re still in the thick of it but some things have remained consistent from the start. 1, More emphasis back on the guitar, and 2, Zac should go as Animal as he wants with drum takes.”

When teasing Paramore’s return, she wrote a newsletter to all the fans and said, “Before I go, thank y’all so much for the incredible support these last couple years. I know we didn’t get to properly come together to sing and vent and sweat it all out…but I do think that Petals and descansos lived exactly the lives they were meant to. Besides, Paramore can’t be ‘on a break’ forever now can we?”

Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase on Friday the 21^st of January at 10am PT, and on-sale tickets will be available on the same day but at 2pm PT, which is only four hours after the pre-sales start. Tickets can be purchased HERE once they are available.
