JAMES BOND ‘NO TIME TO DIE’ ZAMBIAN PREMIERE

By  |

‘No time to die’ is the latest James Bond episode and sadly the last time we will ever get to see Daniel Craig star in the movie. It was scheduled to be out in theatres last year April 2020 but due to the pandemic it was postponed more than once but the premiere was finally held in London last week Tuesday.

The British high Commission held a premiere of their own in Zambia on the 30th of September, It was a well organized event that saw many Zambian actors, actresses, musicians and socialites in attendance. Among the invited guests were Esther Chungu, Pompi, Bflow, Abel Chungu, Kunkeyani, Shakira, Cleo ice queen, Wezi, Chanda Mbao, Mr Nguzu, Vincent Mwale and many more.

There was a red carpet as guests walked in and eventually made their way to the cocktail party that awaited them. The British high commissioner was everywhere trying to interact with the guests and make everyone feel at home, this went on for a good 2 to 3 hours up until it was time to watch the movie and the guests made their way to one of the Cinema halls. Once everyone was comfortably seated, the high commissioner introduced the movie and thanked everyone for coming in his speech and hoped they would enjoy the movie.

As for the movie itself ‘No time to die’ did not lack when it came to action, it started out rather slow and eventually picked up the pace and it was uphill from there. The audience was at the edge of their seats for the most part and would even clap when scenes impressed them. Daniel Craig gave a good last performance as he executed the role with more emotion, power and lots of style. It was brilliant, fun, classy as well as exciting everything you expect a Bond movie to be. Some critics have described this as Daniel Craig’s best performance.

Fans of the show are afraid of what will come next regarding the franchise, they have become so accustomed to Daniel Craig and can not imagine who will take up the role next. Some have even called for a black James Bond, they feel it is high time the franchise went in that direction but it is still very unclear what will transpire, guess we all have to wait and see what will happen next.
