JADAKISS’ CAREER DEFINING MOMENT LOX VS DIPSET

For years, Jadakiss has been heralded as one of the most-underrated rappers in the game. During Verzuz, Jada showed the world how powerful he is. There are no more questions about what ‘Kiss can do, as an emcee. Jadakiss defeated Dipset, by himself, during their epic Verzuz battle. The whole world was into it and Jada had everyone giving him props. Even LeBron James spoke out, saying Jada doesn’t get his proper respect, as a lyricist. Now, Jadakiss and The L.O.X., as a whole, are getting their proper respects. The collective received keys to their home city of Yonkers. Meanwhile, Jada has seen his streams increase by 200% and five of his projects in Apple’s Top 200 chart.

Jadakiss performed in front of likely his biggest audience ever with nearly 1 million onlookers tuning in, Jada’ was joined by his team Styles P and Sheek Louch, and he delivered the kind of performance that epitomizes New York Rap he has embodied for more than two decades. The LOX battled The Diplomats’ Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana in one of the most exciting verzus to date. Fans even went on to say the only Verzus that could top Lox vs Dipset would be Nas vs Jay Z. He powerfully delivered his bars while mocking his opponents for struggling to rap along to vocal tracks during the rounds. At the onset, ‘Kiss announced, “I’m in war mode.”

From his performance to his improvisations, Jadakiss demonstrated a master of ceremonies at the highest level. While touting his Grammy’s against Dipset’s grams, ‘Kiss’ skills cemented his point. Even Dipset’s  Juelz Santana dubbed Jada the night’s “MVP.” While Rap fans have moved to discuss wealth, sales, and clout—all things that Jadakiss and The LOX possess—Tuesday’s Verzuz was a reminder that skills are the difference-maker.
