I’m A Celebrity Winner, Runner Ups and Memorable Moments

The popular television series has just recently ended with the winner being crowned as the king of Gwrych Castle; this year’s series was quite eventful considering the mid-series evacuation due to a Storm Arwen in November, a break-in, and issues with losing viewers. However, the finale did not disappoint as the results finally came in, with Danny Miller coming out in first place!
According to the voting figures published by ITV, the winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’, Emmerdale’ actor Danny Miller, won by more than 10% against the second runner up, ‘Coronation Street’ veteran Simon Gregson. In third place was Frankie Bridge, the singer and member of The Saturdays, who are currently on hiatus.

The results are as follows:
Vote for third place
Danny – 42.79%
Simon – 33.44%
Frankie – 23.77%
King of the Castle final vote
Danny – 55.05%
Simon – 44.95%

Upon being crowned, Danny Miller said, “From the bottom of my heart and my family’s heart thank you so much. This is the best thing that’s happened to me, apart from my son. I can’t believe it, I’m shocked. I never thought I’d be in this position, I barely thought I’d make it through the first two or three votes.”
The 30-year-old winner was in shock when hosts Ant and Dec called him to have come first place and announced him as the new King of the Castle. The voting stats posted later by ITV showed that Danny Miller won by 10%, which is different compared to the close results in the past two years, which saw Giovanna Fletcher and Jacqueline Jossa triumph by narrow margins.

Several episodes were unfortunately cancelled due to Storm Arwen in late November, but that did not stop the show from having some memorable moments, such as the ten-minute delay during the finale when there was a public address by the prime minister Boris Johnson about the Omicron variant. During this time, hosts Ant and Dec joked that the prime minister was going to sign up for the next series of the show in 2022.
Richard Madeley, a journalist, television presenter and writer, exited the show after only a few days; he was taken to hospital after falling ill and was not able to return due to having broken the show’s “Covid bubble.”

The finale was watched by an average audience of 6.5 million viewers, according to overnight figures, which is bigger than expected considering many news on the show losing viewers and having some major setbacks. t can be difficult to tell whether the series will return to Australia next year or whether it will continue shooting in Wales for the next season, so keep a look out for further news, as we cannot wait to see what next year’s line-up will look like!
