FOUNDER OF DAYSTAR MARCUS LAMB DIES AT 64

Marcus Lamb, Co founder and CEO of a Christian Network Daystar which he owned with his wife Joni Lamb, died Tuesday night from Covid19 complications.
“It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Marcus Lamb, president and founder of Daystar Television Network, went home to be with the Lord this morning,” the network said in a tweet on Tuesday. “The family asks that their privacy be respected as they grieve this difficult loss. Please continue to lift them up in prayer.”
Jonathan Lamb, son to the deceased sat in for his father on the 23rd of November and beseeched listeners to pray for his father’s recovery from Covid19.
Lamb was president and CEO of the Bedford-based network, which broadcasts in the U.S. and worldwide and is popular among evangelical Christians. Daystar says it is one of the two largest Christian TV networks in the world, with 70 stations in the U.S. reaching a potential audience of 100 million households.
Lamb founded the network after taking a trip with his wife to Israel in the early 1980s. He said God spoke to him while he was on the trip and told him to create a Christian TV station in Montgomery, Ala.
He founded a station in Montgomery in 1985 but sold several years later to move to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In late 1997, he launched Daystar Television Network from The Potter’s House megachurch in the Mountain Creek area of southwestern Dallas.
He was family oriented and worked closely with his entire family, his daughters and son were at the center of the network and though his death will make things different at Daystar, Marcus Lamb did an amazing job in setting a solid foundation at the network and will most likely go through a smooth transition as things shall continue running.
Fans of Daystar and fellow preachers of the gospel are heart broken at the death of Marcus and have shared their condolences on various platforms but are still glad that he lived a life worth celebrating, he had a purpose that he fully embraced and many admire him for that.
