“Kamala Khan, a fangirl of the Avengers, particularly Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, struggles to fit in until she gains her own powers.”

Some major changes have been made to Kamala Khan’s origin story, as many have noticed, such as her powers. In the Marvel Comics, Kamala is depicted as an Inhuman who is completely unaware of her Inhuman heritage, that is until the day she is exposed to a cloud of Terrigen Mists and her powers suddenly manifest. Kamala becomes a polymorph, which gives her the ability to stretch and expand her body into all sorts of shapes; an example of this power is Mister Fantastic or Elastigirl.

Through the trailer, we learn that in the MCU, Kamala Khan “seems to gain her powers from a mystical bracelet. Instead of making her stretchy, the bracelet generates a purple energy aura that Kamala can use to form fists, shield herself and even walk on air.”
