Johannesburg, Friday, 1st April 2022 – Drip Gogo, aka ‘Ugobela Weh Piano’, brings godly vibes to the dancefloors with his new gospel-inspired amapiano single titled ‘uNobubele’ ft. Mvzzle and Mazet SA. LISTEN HERE. The Amapiano artist recently signed under DJ Sumbody’s Sumsounds label and made his first musical appearance on Sumbody’s hit single ‘Iyamemeza’ featuring label mates The Lowkeys. Drip Gogo then released his debut single ‘Ayavuma’ featuring DJ Sumbody and The Lowkeys and now followed it up with ‘uNobubele’, right in time for the Easter holiday.

The Emalahleni born artist has always dreamt of merging his music with his spiritual gift of Ubungoma, resulting in his stage name Drip Gogo.  His new single ‘uNobubele’ is an extension of that dream and aims to dispel the stereotypes about spiritual people (Abantu bo moya), spirituality and God. “The song is inspired by the great everlasting love we receive from God, we submit ourselves to him as imperfect as we are, regardless of how many mistakes we make. To God we remain his,” explains Drip Gogo.

Speaking on why Ugobela Weh Piano (Drip Gogo) made a gospel inspired Amapiano track he said:  “In spirituality we believe in God, UmveliNgqangi, Uqamatha, Umdali, Umkhulu womkhulu, the greatest ancestor of all. Who is like me and you too. The link to this song is that regardless of religion & beliefs, God is God, we all are equals and no one is better than the other”.

Speaking about why he chose to drop ‘uNobubele’ now Drip said: With people going through tough times and depression due to covid losses and increased financial strains, it’s the right time we connect and seek peace. We need to stop social stigmas & judgments; we should seekalignment and peace in God.”

Drip Gogo describes his music as spiritual Amapiano, a new era of new aged spiritual groove & amapiano tunes. The masses can expect his debut album anytime from April to June, the album will feature guest appearances from several hitmakers like Dj Sumbody, Dj Obza, Dj Gizo, Dj Mvzzle, Dj Keezy from Mozambique, Dj Melzi to name a few.
