DIY Face Mask Recipes With At Home Ingredients

By  |

Common ingredients already in your kitchen are just waiting to be used to their full potential other than cooking, and making yourself a nice face mask with them is the way to go! There is not much a good DIY face mask cannot cure, as it can be used to de-stress, hydrate the skin, minimise pores, and slowly eliminate blemishes; therefore, let us take a closer look at what we have in our homes and start creating our amazingly tailored face masks.

Target – Dry skin

You will need:

  • 6 tsp of clay
  • 2 tsp of aloe vera juice
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • A splash of water

Mix the ingredients together to form a smooth paste, then massage gently onto your face and neck. Leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Target – Pigmentation

You will need:

  • 1 tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • A splash of water

Mix the ingredients and apply to specific areas that you would like to target on your skin. Leave on for three minutes, and then rinse off with warm water. Repeat at least twice a week for five weeks to see results.

Target – To soothe the skin

You will need:

  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil
  • A quarter of a ripe avocado
  • 2 drops of lavender oil

Mix the ingredients and use a brush to apply to your skin, then leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Target – To hydrate and nourish the skin

You will need:

  • Half an avocado
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • A handful of oats

Mix the ingredients and massage onto the skin, particularly areas with scars because this mask helps to increase healing and tissue regeneration. Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Target – Uneven skin texture and tone

You will need:

1 tbsp of natural plain yoghurt

1 tbsp of honey

1 tbsp of turmeric powder

Mix the ingredients together and apply to skin with a brush, leave on for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water.

Target – Acne

You will need:

  • 1 tbsp of manuka honey
  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  • Half a tsp of dead sea salt

Mix the ingredients together, then use a brush and apply to your face while paying attention to the T-Zone (forehead, nose, and chin areas). Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

When you have time to give your skin some extra consideration, using one of these DIY face masks will come in handy, as recommended by skincare experts who created these recipes! Since there are not that many ingredients to find for each face mask, this will take no time at all and will be quick and easy to do, so do not dwell on the idea of doing a DIY, find the time and relax while you wait for the mask to do its magic!
