Daredevil Confirmed For Season 4

The superhero action-drama ‘Daredevil’ has been confirmed for season four and we could not be more excited! After three seasons, the television series had been cancelled back in November 2018 by Netflix, and now it seems that Disney Plus will be the ones to make the fourth season due to the rights of Daredevil being returned to Marvel; also, let us not forget the appearances made by Matt Murdock and Kingpin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Hawkeye’ season one. These appearances can only mean that the two fan-favourite characters will be back very soon now that they have made their entrance in the MCU.

First streamed on Netflix in April 2015, the main character in the series is a blind lawyer who developed an “ability for other senses outside martial arts. During the day, he works in the judicial system to aid the poor, but he becomes a vigilante at night.” The plot is as follows: “Matt Murdock manages to overcome the challenges that he faces due to him being blind since childhood and fights criminals as a lawyer and Daredevil.”

Back when the series was first cancelled, the actor Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, said to Entertainment Weekly, “A lot of us really expected to keep going and I certainly did. The truth is, I felt like we had a lot of stories to tell, and although I understand [the cancellation] I’m very saddened by that. It’s just how business works. But also, these characters mean a lot to people. It’s weird to think there’s a chance I won’t be playing Matt Murdock ever again. That’s a bizarre feeling because that character has been such a huge part of my life for the last four and a half years.”

It is now official that Charlie Cox will be returning as the lawyer Matt Murdock by day and Daredevil by night, as well as Vincent D’Onofrio taking on the role of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. Known as “the devil of Hell’s Kitchen”, Daredevil was well applauded by both fans and reviewers alike with its action scenes; this is because there was a lot of closeness to the source material, as well as the “great production quality” and “no-nonsense theatrical flair”.

As of yet, we do not know when exactly season four will be released; it may be possible that this year we may hear of a date confirmation, but the date itself will be scheduled for next year. However, keep a look out for further updates, as we are sure to stay on top of the Daredevil news just for you!
