Cristiano Ronaldo’s newborn baby boy dies shortly after his partner gives birth to twins

Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez posted a statement on the footballer’s Instagram account announcing that their newborn son has died. It was revealed back in October 2021 that the couple, aged 37 and 28, were expecting twins; however, it has been confirmed that their baby boy twin passed away and the baby girl twin survived. Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been together and dating since 2016, when they first met at a Gucci store in Madrid and Georgina Rodriguez worked as a sales assistant. The couple share a daughter, named Alana, together, with Cristiano Ronaldo also having another son Cristiano Junior, and the twins Eva and Mateo.

The star revealed in 2015 that becoming a father was an “incredible” experience for him. He said, “It’s been incredible. I never imagined that my life would change so much. It was always my dream to have a child young, when I was 25. He’s changed the way I think, he’s always with me, supporting me.”

Many have reacted to the news sharing their messages online, such as the Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford, who said, “Thoughts are with you and Georgina brother. I’m so sorry.”

The Match of the Day host and former England striker Gary Lineker said, “Terribly sad news. Sincere condolences to you and your family.”
