CHRIS NOTH FIRED FROM ‘THE EQUALIZER’ AMID SEXUAL ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS

Actor Chris Noth who stars in the CBS show ‘The Equalizer’ has since been fired from the show after 3 women allegedly accused him of sexual assault. The star played William Bishop in the show and it has been confirmed that he will no longer film additional episodes effectively, immediately, CBS said in a brief statement.

North will only be seen in one original upcoming episode that has already been filmed and those that have already aired, other than that he should not be expected to be seen in any other future episodes.

Two women came forward and told The Hollywood reporter on Thursday that Noth assaulted them in 2004 and 2015, respectively. Noth denied these accusations and called them “categorically false” in a statement to THR, which was confirmed by his representatives to EW.

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” Noth’s statement read. “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago no always means no that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.“

A third women came forward on Friday alleging that Chris had sexually assaulted her, she opened up in a statement to the Daily Beast that the actor had assaulted her sexually back in 20110 when she was only 18 years old and working at a New York Restaurant.

The actor also denied the third woman’s story and claimed it was completely false. “The story is a complete fabrication, and the alleged accounts detailed throughout read like a piece of bad fiction, a rep for Noth told PEOPLE. As Chris stated yesterday, he has and would never cross that line.”

After the sexual allegations were made about North, Peloton dropped its cheeky advert that made fun of his death on ‘Just like that’, which premiered on the 9th of December and his talent Agency has since parted ways with him as well. It is not yet clear what is in store for the actor at the moment but it might be a rocky road for him and most likely the end of his career.
