CELEBRATING 17 YEARS OF THRILLMATIC ON RADIO

His voice is undoubtfully one of the most recognized in radio. With a career spanning over 17 years in the broadcasting industry, he has truly helped shape and build Zambian music. Mbachi Nkhata was born and bred in Ndola town on the Copperbelt province. His love for music pushed him into radio and changed his career path. After graduating secondary school he was accepted to the University of Zambia with intentions to study law but life had other plans for him.

”I never knew my love for music will bring me this far and I’m thankful to God for that.” His days at Qfm when he hosted the Breakfast Show launched many Zambian artists like Pompi, Zone fam and Morzegeta to mention a few.DJ Thrillmatic is also a member of the council of youth Ambassadors under the US Embassy and is also the recipient of the Zambia music award best male DJ 2012. Besides being an on-air presenter he is the operations director at Rock FM 96.5Fm.
”My advise to all would be presenters is simple, get an education because the competition is stiff. Hundreds of people want to get into this business, besides that learn how to express yourself, read books and learn what is happening around you every single day because if you don’t know what you’re doing or understand what is happening around you, you will not make it.”
You can catch DJ 3illmatic every weekday from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Rock FM 96.5. Join us today in celebrating this giant in the Zambian entertainment industry.
