Best Underrated Podcasts

The podcasting industry is constantly expanding with more new listeners tuning in every day; in particular, when there are special guests from other big businesses, such as actors, singers, journalists, scientists, academics, etc. It is not unusual to come across something that you feel is underrated and not appreciated enough as other things are in similar fields, but have you found any podcasts recently where you feel like this? If not, do not worry because that is why I have put together the best recommended and underrated podcasts that need a spotlight on them! If you are interested in any of the following, simply start listening from either Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or other Podcasting apps that you can download on your phone.

Ways to Change the World
“Krishnan Guru-Murthy interviews politicians, actors and other prominent people about society, politics and various topical issues.”
RedHanded
“RedHanded the podcast jumps head first into all manner of macabre madness. We cover everything from big time serial killers (and those you may never have heard of), to hauntings, possessions, disturbing mysteries, bizarre whodunits and basically anything that tickles our creepy fancy. So, join us, plug in, sit back and prepare for scares.”
Stuff the British Stole
“Throughout its reign, the British Empire stole a lot of stuff. Today those objects are housed in genteel institutions across the UK and the world. They usually come with polite plaques. This is a series about the not-so-polite history behind those objects. Season two is co-produced with CBC Podcasts.”
I’m Not A Monster
“For the past four years, journalist Josh Baker has been trying to uncover the truth about an American family’s journey from Indiana to the Islamic State group’s caliphate and back.”
Bed of Lies
“It was meant to be a miracle treatment, but it became a deadly poison. Cara McGoogan investigates the story they didn’t want you to know – and one of the biggest medical disasters in history… They have the perfect relationship, until one day he vanishes. Her hunt leads to other women just like her – and a web of state-spun lies. This is the untold story of one of Britain’s biggest secrets.”
Revisionist History
“Revisionist History is Malcolm Gladwell’s journey through the overlooked and the misunderstood. Every episode re-examines something from the past—an event, a person, an idea, even a song—and asks whether we got it right the first time. From Pushkin Industries. Because sometimes the past deserves a second chance.”
Always Take Notes
“Always Take Notes is a fortnightly podcast from London for and about writers and writing. Hosts Simon Akam and Rachel Lloyd speak to a diverse range of people in the industry on a variety of topics, from the mysteries of slush piles and per-word rates, to how data are changing the ways newspapers do business and how to pitch a book.”
