Apple TV+ Announces Partnership With Changemakers To Create Educational Kids TV Shows

By  |

Yesterday, Apple TV+ released a press release announcing “a kids’ changemakers initiative that brings world renowned education leaders together with the world’s most creative storytellers to create inspiring and enriching original series for kids”. Apple TV+ has previously already launched multiple children’s and educational series; now, it seems there are plans to expand on this with the new partnership with Changemakers.

The company’s aim is to use the changemakers initiative and encourage imagination, self-confidence, and critical thinking through the Apple Original series, such as ‘Stillwater’, ‘Hello, Jack: The Kindness Show’, ‘Get Rolling With Otis’, ‘Doug Unplugs’, and ‘Pretzel and the Puppies’.

Apple’s head of kids programming, Tara Sorensen, said, “As we continue to expand our slate and partner with today’s world class storytellers, we are so inspired by our collaboration with an exceptional group of changemakers who are passionate about giving kids the tools they need to leave the world a better place than they found it.”

For ‘Pretzel and the Puppies’, which is the most recently premiered original series for kids, Apple TV+ teamed up with changemaker Tony Wagner, Ed.D., who is a senior researcher at the Learning Policy Institute and the author of the book ‘Creating Innovators: The Making of Young People Who Will Change the World’. Tony Wagner worked alongside the series’ showrunner Steve Altiere, the executive producers, and Harper Collins, to develop the kids series infusing lessons on the “importance of asking questions and innovating to find new solutions to problems”.

With many additional and accomplished educators collaborating with Apple TV+, we can expect to see great results in the future amongst the many Original kids series on Apple TV+. To read the full original press release article, click HERE.
